This episode already sold me when Jeff G made those noises reminiscent of Juvenile.

I also liked the Goty theme more. That one was sick and got stuck in my head. This version was a bit too fucked up. Both are pretty cool though.

The GOTY version of the theme gave me serious 808 State (the ex:el album specifically) vibes.

Add another vote for bad theme song. That is so hard to listen to, yikes.

New theme song is rough as hell to listen to, have to be honest. It’s way too busy and sounds like there’s three tracks playing all at once.

How can Jeff B not understand a foot pedal for PTT? Your fingers should be busy gaming.

You can just buy a USB pedal device, they're like $40 for a triple pedal.

Oh god, the intro song managed to be even worse than the version that played on the GOTY casts, which was already bad. The progress is working in the wrong direction. I know Jeff G and Vektroid are friends, so he's definitely blind to this, but come on, man. The music is straight fucking garbage.

Speaking of mixing powdered things in unintended liquids - my grandfather makes Ovaltine in coffee. It's really bad.

I do not understand skipping cutscenes. Why are you playing a game if you don't care about it so much that you can't even care to watch a cutscene? I only play (or keep playing) games I actually care at least a little about. (Obviously this does not apply to people reviewing games, but 99% of the audience of this podcast are not doing that.)

Not sure if it's longer than the old one or the same length, but the new intro feels a few seconds too long. Otherwise, it's fine, I guess. GOTY theme was better.

I think the theme has potential to be very good, and it is very good at the beginning, but around where it tries to include the original melody line, it's just WAAAAAAY too dissonant, and not in a great way. It switches up the bass/rhythm section in a way that just doesn't fit with the melody (on top of that, the melody is super pitchy), like it's all sour notes, and the resolve falls flat trying to be too jazzy in its chords.

But hey, if it's still WIP, then cool, I guess it still has time to be fixed ( not sure I would've shown it in this state but heyy, early access music, why not ;) ). If not, welp, I'll survive, and maybe I'll end up even enjoying it in all its sourness.

well, there goes my idea of using stream deck pedal with ableton live. was thinking of mapping as a switch for plugins/effects. latency issues make this a bust.

The new theme is terrible. I get this is some amateur work probably but still. Dissonance and distortion are fine if used properly, here they are just jarring.

see this i can agree with to an extent. i'm not sure what happened between this and goty day 1 but i felt even tho i didn't love that version it definitely sounded better than this in both versions the intro of the intro is kinda rough and this newest version the middle/ending half is just well someone else said it sounded drunk and i kinda agree
