    Overview

Tony La Russa Baseball is a baseball game developed by Beyond Software and published by Electronic Arts for the Genesis platform. It was adapted from Beyond's earlier Tony La Russa game, Tony La Russa's Ultimate Baseball for PC and Commodore 64, and as such has a slightly heavier simulation aspect than baseball games made specifically for the console market. The game saw a single Genesis follow-up in Tony La Russa Baseball '95 but the series as a whole had several more entries on home computer platforms.

Tony La Russa Baseball offers both an arcade and a simulation experience, the latter adding more statistics and a slower mode of play. It uses the MLBPA license but not the MLB license, meaning it has real player names but not team names (the game uses the names of the team's cities instead).
