Utopia is a browser-based strategy game. Each player runs a province, and several players form a kingdom, akin to a team. A province has a networth and an amount of acres, with acres being explored or acquired at a rate of 5 per day, and the networth being determined by what you build on those acres. Buildings are used to grow food, house peasants, create runes for casting spells, forts to protect your land from other provinces etc.
The game is played in something similar to real time, with buildings taking a set amount of hours to build. Attacks against other provinces are resolved immediately, but the troops used for the attack take a set amount of time to return depending on how far away the attacked province was, which can leave your defense wide-open for a counter-attack. Mages and thieves can be used to spy or sabotage other provinces, making war easier.
