Is that weird? I watched my friend play it for awhile and I just wanted to run home and buy Arma right away.

I am sure I can enjoy Arma as it is, but this mod seems cool. I almost wish they would just make this a real game. I've always said they should make an ultra realistic zombie game.

I bought ARMA 2 just for DayZ and I've already logged about 50+ hours in the game (it is pretty nifty despite its alpha state). I just started playing the campaign in ARMA 2 and it's not bad, the game has awkward ass animations and the voice acting really isn't a good thing. That being said the combat is still enjoyable if you like the combat in DayZ (because it's the same game...).

Anyway, pick it up. ARMA 2 isn't an amazing game for story, but the gameplay is fun (in a weird awkward way).

No if you look on steam it's one of the top sellers at the moment only behind the weekend deal. It's no coincidence that a 2 year old game is a top seller as a popular mod is created.

Thats what I was thinking about doing. But I just want to play it so bad but my friend won't let me play his character. Whatever. I guess I'll just have to play the waiting game D:

I'm not sure if Steam will put a top selling game on sale. Arma is more than just DayZ though, I think its pretty good value even at the default price point. Its the most PC of any PC title :p

Skyrim, which is still on the top selling list even today, went down to 40 bucks during the winter sale which was only a few weeks after it's release. The bundle for Arma 2 will probably drop to between 5-15 dollars.

worth it at any price IMO. I dropped out for about a month but I might be hopping back on- I was just starting to find people to play with too.....

Id play solo at start to get a feel for it, then play with friends, strangers, anyone thatll group and is slightly less likely to shoot you in the face for your beans.

Really looking forward to hearing reactions about the changes they made- I hear its way harder

After watching a lot of people that I follow on Twitch.TV such as Devolore, and others play DayZ I definitely have thought about buying ARMA II just for DayZ. Though, I'll wait and watch the progress of price on ARMA II and the progress of DayZ. It's in Alpha, and it's not going anywhere any time soon... So, I'll wait and see how it goes.
