Back at E3, Sucker Punch was careful enough to avoid stating that the new look they had devised for Cole MacGrath was a permanent fixture in Infamous 2. It's a good thing it did. Cole MacGrath's tattoos, hair, and face are being modified again, only this time work is being done to make the hero look more like he did in the original Infamous.
Word of this came straight from IGN, right as a panel on the game wrapped up at San Diego Comic Con. Images of the old-but-new look were handed to the pub, but they'll apparently remain private for the time being.
Cole's previous new look, the one that was revealed via Game Informer and shown during E3 2010, drew some ire from fans all around the Internet. In part, the change was made because a new actor will be voicing the electric superhero. Sucker Punch also had plans to do some face-mapping and motion capture around his new face, so it didn't make a ton of sense to keep the old Cole's head around.
No word when we'll see the new Cole, and really, exactly how much he'll look like the old one. But it almost goes without saying that we're tingling with excitement over this electrifying reveal. Get it? You know, Cole does the whole lightning-pew-pew thing so I put in words that sound like… nevermind. I'll just update this when new images hit the 'net.
