More Details on Those 3DS Ambassador Games

It's one thing to bitch about entitlement issues when it's a couple months of online that is fucked up. It's another thing to say people shouldn't be reimbursed for being fucked out of $80 because Nintendo never came through on their promises to provide quality software and support for the platform. Before a single relevant new game came out for the system, the price dropped a large amount. Its bad business, period.

Do not understand. Why make these limitations? Even open source emulators have these basic features.

BS. It's all entitlement. You're not promised anything, and the responsibility is on YOU to wise up and stop buying hardware BEFORE the software to justify it is there. Nintendo is only making this entitlement culture worse by rewarding these whiners and allowing them to continue to operate under the delusion that they're owed something and don't need to take any responsibility for their poor decisions.

This is a fair point. But is is going to have an adverse affect on the sales of the Wii U.

I bought a 3DS at launch expecting the games they'd previously announced (Kid Icarus, Mario Kart, Animal Crossing, etc) to appear a lot sooner. I admit that it was my fault and that it was a pretty poor decision. But it's also completely put me off buying any Nintendo systems in the future. I can gladly wait next time for the hardware revisions or a year or two for the software to buid up.

Casual gamers aren't going to care to buy the Wii U as soon as it releases, they'll care when there's a new fad available. And now the hardcore Nintendo fans, who would have been the ones to dive right in have just been harshly slapped across the face by Nintendo. Call that entitlement if you wish, but Nintendo are in a very bad position right now and they're doing little to make it better for themselves. The ambassador programme might have helped, if they didn't announce the cut off date to be so late that even people who weren't early adopters could wait and buy the system when all the price wars were going on, and still be eligible for the free games.

Also, the games you are getting are not free. Free means that I, the one getting the free stuff should not be forced to perform or achieve anything to get the stuff. In this case, I am forced to buy a 3DS before a certain date. (READ BUY!) So, the games cost me about 80 buckaneers. They are not free.  
The ones that bought the 3DS for cheaper and still are ambassadors, you were still forced to perform the task of buying the 3DS before a certain date. Either way, not free. Just sayin. The correct wording is "at no extra cost"

Free means that I, the one getting the free stuff should not be forced to perform or achieve anything to get the stuff. In this case, I am forced to buy a 3DS before a certain date. (READ BUY!) So, the games cost me about 80 buckaneers. They are not free.   The ones that bought the 3DS for cheaper and still are ambassadors, you were still forced to perform the task of buying the 3DS before a certain date. Either way, not free. Just sayin. The correct wording is "at no extra cost"

Nintnedo... really... please tell me what is so complicated about building your damn emulator in a way that allows the player to use the HOME button in a normal way? You don't know how to code that feature? Ask somebody from the homebrew community and they'll do it for you!
 
This is downright an amazing feature of the system, being able to pause a game, surf the web/write a note, and come back to the place you're on. They need to stop dissing this feature for DS/NES/GBA games!

I have no horse in this race really, i dont have a 3DS nor do I want one, but I think gamers actually DO have the right to be a little bit of "entitled cunts" as you put it. We have to buy their specific $500 machine, their specific $50 controllers, their specific $50 a year online, their specific $120 hard drives..... We put up with their specific DRM and pay monthly fees. They then get us to buy the same games over and over and over again. And we buy multiple systems to play these different games (PCs, PS3s, Xboxs, Wiis, PSP, phones, 3DS). We are stuck with them once we buy their device, we trust them to make our investment worth it. They have us over a barrel. And again, they love it, and we love it. How many Apple gamers/tech nuts buy every interation of Apple products just out of brand loyalty and lust for the hobby? That made Apple one of the richest companies in the world. So if the new iphone has some issues and we want to bitch about it, well we certainly have invested enough cash and brand loyalty to deserve a little attention to our bitching. 
 
Nintendo has said publicly (to the issue of bringing Mario to iOS), that they have 15 billion in the bank... That is our money and they got it by being a company we trusted and wanted more of, if all the super loyal early adopters get screwed, well that's the early adopters money in their bank, and that's loyal customers they are going to lose, of course they can give us some stupid free games that really only cost them a little rushed development time. You call it entitled cunts, i call it satisfied SUPER CUSTOMERS. And Nintendo is more than happy to oblige, because maybe they can keep making billions of dollars off of us. And we will buy the WiiU even though we shouldn't.

Sounds good to me. Bring on the free games!

I don't even know what you're talking about in the first sentence.  It seems you somehow misconstrued...something...that was said...somewhere. 
 
You buy something at launch, you pay more.  That's how it goes with mass produced electronics.  I know you know that, but it seems like you're complaining that other people got the same as you for less money because they waited until they could get it cheaper, essentially.   I honestly see no good reason to buy a 3DS at all, even at its new price, but that's just my opinion.  It's not like I especially want to play Ocarina of Time yet again, especially not for $40, good as it may be. Try not to be too surprised when a better model of the thing comes out within two years, and quite probably a bit sooner, either.

can we PLEASE have Zelda a link to the past put on virtual console please! Wii has it!!

Hey, the GBA didn't have save states either. Whatever. I finished Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening without dying once. Same with Super Mario Land, which I was never able to beat on the GameBoy. The experience is a little cheapened by save states. It'll be nice for whatever they end up giving us, but it does flatten the difficulty curve. Especially on a game like WarioWare...   

What I am upset about is that GBA games can't sleep. Doesn't Nintendo hear all our battery complaints? 

So what does Nintendo do?
