The Last Guardian Makes A Tokyo Game Show Appearance

Tokyo Game Show rolls along, with news and videos trickling steadily out of Japan. Next up, The Last Guardian, my personal number-one-most-anticipated game on the PlayStation 3. 
 
For your edification, Sony offers a brief behind-the-scenes interview with creator Fumito Ueda inside the Team ICO offices. Pretty neat to see what that place looks like. (Surprise! It's... an office building.)

 

Still a little curious why they made the child's skin so much lighter than it was in the original leak.

This as a few other games will probably push me over the edge to get a PS3. Really like the look of this and loved Ico.

I think this looks to be exactly what fans will be expecting from it -  a game rich with natural progression, of certain aspects found in abundance in the first two games. The PS3 will be able to realise those aspects much better.
 
I'm happy, Ueda's words are reason to be confident this game will hit the right spot.

Never played ICO or Colossus, but it makes me want to try them. Aghhh, too many games to play.

The game will be as frustrating as it will be awesome. Awesome because Team ICO is one of the very few companies to get video game narrative right, and frustrating because Team ICO is one of the very few companies to get video game narrative right.

I really hope they release a Team Ico Collection for the PS3 like the GoW Collection. I would gladly drop $40 to try Ico and Shadow of the Colossus.  

Awesome. Shadow of the Colossus was quite the epic game and I hope this follows in it's scale of epicness.

I want to play this very badly. I have play Shadow of the Colossus but I have never played ICO. I have never played it for the reason I can not rent it anywhere and it is insanely expensive. I hope Sony will re-release it with shadow on the ps3.

I don't get what this game is about.  

After having taken a look at the images in the wiki, I have come to the conclusion that Ueda's use of light and shadow is really quite masterful.

Looks great.  Get rid of the bird legs and i might actually care about that thing.

Played ICO....loved it....Played Shadow of the Colossus.....loved it.....Last Guardian.......(if i had a PS3)  I'D FREAKING LOVE IT!!

They're still using the Miller's Crossing music.  While it's a great piece from a great film, I'd like to hear what the real music from the game will be, although the music in the last games was always very subdued and only popped up at key moments.
 
The kid being light is probably due to the drab environment, the other games too had the characters contrasty to stand out enough for ease of play. 
 
Try out one of the other games if you're unsure about this one, they all tend to play in a similar fashion, and this series either grabs you instantly or puts you off just as fast.

I absolutely love the worlds they've created before so I'm really looking forward to Last Guardian.

It wont be as epic as Shadow of the Colossus but it'll be a wonderful game.

Itis easy to get all hyperbolic about it. It genuinely looks stunning, really cannot wait for it to release.

I'm kind of ashamed to say that I have not player either Ico or Shadow of the Colossus.  I know.  I'm a terrible person.

I'm going to have to get a PS3 now.

IMHO I think it needs a few more texture passes.  They don't look much better than ICO, or SotC.  I want the game, but after seeing what a PS3 can do, this game deserves better given the previous games.
