What is it with companies advertising their games on TV half a year before they come out? It's the most bizarre marketing strategy, but ubisoft have adopted it too. They're showing short, 2 seccond Assassin's Creed 2 ads in which "Assassin's Creed II" flashes up on the screen, followed by "www.assassinscreed.com". It lasts all of 2 seconds. Blink and you'll miss it:

I don't really understand why everyone is like "ZOMG looks so awesome" -- it shows nothing; and what it does show is certainly not spectacular by any means.

I'm guessing you're purely basing this off love for CoD4 and Infinity Ward.

Well this is EXTREMELY short, but it made me even more excited about it. It looks like it is going to be great.

But Alexander - the teaser trailer is garbage. Just look at it for what it is a moment. It looks TERRIBLE.

Forget this is the sequel to CoD4. If this was any other game it would have been ripped to shreds by now.

I'm not saying it reflects the product, I'm just saying, this does not look "awesome" like everyone is flipping out and fighting to be the first to say.

It's a terrible teaser. They would have done better flashing up the logo and a date.

Everybody's doing backflips over FPS snowmobile action. Well Battlefield 2142 had such, plus a few extra twists: they hover, strafe, spin, have a rechargeable boost, and a place on the back for a person to stand and fire a turret with explosive shells.

From this it is obvious, cool vehicles don't make the game sell. The name does.

I guess since Battlefield has gone small scale and since CoD has aped most of BFs advancements, CoD is the way of the future once they increase map size to satisfy all those will have played MAG (and think it is interesting but hate the cramped nature of the maps). Once CoD gets vehicles online, it will grow from there.
