Allow me to snicker for a bit at all the people who thought that the teaser was MGS4 for the 360 simply because it was in green. Seriously, it's a color- you associate it with the 360, not everyone.

I was right in saying it was for the iPhone, but I really thought it was going to be Metal Gear Acid. Too bad, because I think it would fit the platform better.

If it does turn out to be a "Duck Hunt" version of Metal Gear Solid, I'm going to laugh. They already stated their original design for the game had to be toned back for the lack of iPhone controls.

Interesting. I would be getting this game if I wasn't on a Verizon plan right now. I even got the MGS Mobile game when it came out for Verizon carriers (which was actually really good- it was like the original MGS and played pretty well) but this might be where I draw the line. Unless I cancel my plan I probably won't be getting this.

From what Kotaku has said, it is read in Famitsu that it is just a point and click (or in this case a touch and shoot) style game. You won't control Snake, but you just touch the enemies to shoot at them.

Also, I am sorry, but Apple+gaming=fail. Since Marathon and Diabo 2, Apple simply has nothing. Before that they had more then a fighting chance, but they lost. They to stop. The iPhone would be cool for gaming if it worked, but so far nothing has worked terribly well. I'll wait for the nVidia thing coming to the market for some decent stuffs.

This isn't that surprising when you think about it. The Macs and the ipod in MGS4 and also, from what I heard, Kojima really likes Macs.

This ain't gonna be great, but for an iPhone game, Star Wars: TFU was actually pretty good. I have an iPhone, so I don't see a reason why I won't be picking this up.

i think that was a really lame tease then, what with it looking like it was going to be an xbox thing. way to let the masses down. it's inevitable that the controls will be pretty lame.

Visually it looks good, but as this blog post stated, how well will the game play out with using only a  touch screen? I know the answer to that question already but I'd like to hear it from the reviewers themselves to confirm it.

Hopefully, this won't turn out to be a crappy touch-and-shoot game with MGS characters just plastered over it.

i just noticed something. almost all pictures, screenshots of things ON the iPhone, show the actual iPhone... is it actually that much cooler just cuz it's on the iPhone. I think not!
