Humm Interesting Ii would have never guessed.The only thing is it's not worth paying the cost of the iphone for one cool game. If I knew lots of cool games are coming to the iphone that would be different, besides I don't live in USA so I probably wouldn't be able to download it :(, that's the problem with downloadable games on the cell phones not everyone can download them.

I agree even a Wii version would have been better but then again kojima productions never let's us down so even in the iphone or ipod if you can get i think will be a good choice.

The hard reality of numbers tell a different story. The Wii is the clear winner, but nobody will concede that because Nintento aims for a wider audience and not only the particular tastes of this or that game reviewer. PS3 is far from the being a failure, and the numbers prove it. X360 has little to celebrate, since it was released one year earlier and still it lost shamefully with hardware problems and flawed design (3rl, disk damaging DVD drive, overheating, batteries for the joystick, etc).

And BTW, your console can't handle MGS4. It is just not going to happen.

Yeah I think I'll pick this up because I already have an Ipod Touch.  I think its a bit of a risk though as despite what apple says its not a recognized gaming platform.  Many people who would otherwise be interested in this game won't have Iphones and many people with Iphones aren't intrested in gaming.

I was expecting a new storyline or something for the metal gear franchise. Not a stupid iPhone game. I don't even own a 360 or ps3 and I'm dissapointed with this.

I have been playing videogames for the last 24 years, but, God, Xbox fanboys are the most annoying creatures I have met so far. They are not happy with enjoying whatever they want, they feel the need to prove to everyone else that their choice is the best one and try to convert others into their religion.

Some points:

• Nobody said it would be a X3rl port, only xbots hyped an already dead rumor up (while flooding internet forums with jokes about the PS3);
• Konami does whatever it wants with its money and resources. Do you disagree? Then create your own company and do whatever you think it is right;
• Other gaming devices already used touchscreen successfully. For example, Zelda Twighlight Princess for the Nintendo DS. You don't use anything beyond the touchscreen there and the game is good;
• iPhone is more than capable of running interesting games, and no, it doesn't suck. Just because you got MEGA-OWNED by Kojima you are saying that;
• The cell phone games market is huge, and probably Konami wants a piece of it. "Oh, but I am hardcore....". Who cares? If a company believes that they can make money somewhere else, so what?
• This MGS on 360 rumor MUST DIE once and for all. Your console can't even handle it! How would they fit that much data in one DVD without screwing up the game badly?
• Kojima massively OWNED the xbots! It wouldn't be so funny if the owners of the worst hardware that money can buy didn't go around bragging about it everywhere, being the jerks they usually are;
• I have yet to see a single game journalist get things right. It is even funny. I remember when Bungie became independent from MS, and all smart-asses journalists were saying that was unlikely. Now even Jeff said in the podcast iPhone sucked for gaming. When will they get something right?

This media bias towards MS pisses me off. Casual games is a huge market, Wii is the winner of this generation, PS3 sold more units worldwide in the first 2 years than the X3rl (stop pretending the rest of the world doesn't exist) and the X3rl is a terrible piece of engineering. These are just facts. Now cry me a river, xbots.

Ugh, this is disappointing.  This is such a waste.  I know they are probably still working on the next real mgs project with the main team but still......... its just kinda sad.

I really don't see the point to this.  First off, it's on the iphone, which not too many people have.  2nd, the iphone is only for AT&T subscribers, unless you happen across one that's unlocked.  3rd, how many of those iphone users are actually going to know about MGS?  Seems like pretty slim pickings if you ask me...
