Xbox Live Totally Hosed (For Some)

Whenever I try to play Fable 2 on xbox live (even when I'm not playing co-op, just online) i get kicked every 5 minutes.
Really pisses me off.
Hope its fixed soon :|

What the hell do we pay $50 a year for?  Insufficient server capacity?  PSN is free and never craps out on me.  I keep getting disconnected on gears.

If this service was free I would be able to cope, but the fact that I am paying for something that isn't even as good as whats free on every other platform, that sounds like a Microsoft customer to me.

You guys are pansies. I haven't been able to play on the Xbox Live account that I'm still paying for since I came to college three months ago and I can cope. Seriously, it's only been out for two days.What are you guys crying about?

I can't remember in which bombcast someone said that he was using ps3 and psn and has definitely abandon the xbox, it was Brad or Vinny, but is there that great difference in the quality of the service to justify a $50 fee?, that's almost a full price game a year that you have to pay for something that should only depend on your internet connection, do they charge you for PC, Wii or PS3 multiplayer? :S NO. It's easy to have a great quality networking system charging that amount of money to so many people, it should work fine ALWAYS but that's not the case, in every AAA mp game launch there was problems because people was heavily using the system in a short period, that's not acceptable.

I wasn't able to connect for the whole day on Saturday. It was really annoying.

Didn't have a single issue all weekend, including playing Gears.  /shrug

I got dropped a few times, but was able to get right back on. No biggie.

this happens just as rarely on psn yet since you guys spend money on live your willing to forgive and forget, but when it comes to ps3 everyone openly bashes its online in comparison to 360. its funny when you pay for something you become more defensive of it

Itsa fault, things have faults. This is nothing to worry about. Ok so some people can't play some online games, big whoop. That just means you'll have to play the single player mode or do the unthinkable, interact with your family and friends in the real world.

     Please stop titling articles in a way that will make Playstation fanboys freak out. Xbox Live isn't totally hosed, even for the few people who may have to go a few days without it.

I have had a few disco's. Maybe 2. But this sucks for those its affecting.

rofl at all the ps3 fanboys that are so happy to see this.  i have both live and psn and live destroys psn.  plus this was only a problem for some people. when socom and lbp came out everyone on psn was fucked

Well, so far I'm completely unable to download any updates (and therefore unable to go online), can't connect to Messenger or download any messages, and only connect to Live about 1/2 the time...

Sucks, hope they fix it soon.

We broke Xbox Live!  Hey at least it takes lots of people and lots of good games logging on to break xbox live.  PSN is broken all the time!  Dont flame guys, i love my blu ray player.

Every day I get closer to canceling my Xbox Live Gold subscription.  I pay money, but I don't play online enough to warrant the cost.  When I do play online, it's not an enjoyable experience.

I think it's probably a mix of the popularity of Gears 2 and CoD World at War.Well i was moving this weekend so I didn't play anything at all.Also with L4D coming out i think today or tommorow,Xbox live will be tightly packed like a can of sardines.In a similar matter,the login ques for WoW have been huge,i tried logging onto Earthen Ring and i was like 800.Other people have reported wait times around 1-2 hours.Yikes!

I've been playin GOW2 all weekend without a hiccup. Nobody even said anything about this on XBL!

I don't know why but i get randomly disconnected whenever i'm just playing a single player game.  I thought it might be my router but i'm not so sure.  When it happens i usually get a lag spike in my game which gets pretty annoying.

I thought I would mention something about the Netflix app in the NXE.  I was watching Superbad on Friday night and I was disconnected from live with a good 30-45 mins remaining in the movie.  The movie played until completion and then I logged back in.  I am not sure how it continued to play, but either way it adds to my love of this new feature. 

ive been getting dropped from games and been slow at times hopefully they fix it soon its quite annoying maybe they will give a free arcade game like they did before who knows but hopefully they fix it soon

Huh, I guess it isn't my connection problem then. I suspected it was my connection but it doesn't seem like it is.

Well now I don't feel TOO bad that my Xbox is lost at some repair center with a bunch of idiot workers who can't get their act together enough to get it back to me.

Didn't this happen around the same time last year as well?

On the bright side, perhaps after several lawsuits and a few settlements, we'll all get some semi-defunkt XBLA title again!

still getting frequent disconnects.

Still intermittent connectivity issues and random signouts.  Plus weird chat bugs with NXE

I had some issues with connection on November 19, but now it's all fast and stable for me.
