3D Platformers are games where movement, traversal and mainly jumping is the core of the gameplay. They are a tridimensional equivalent of 2D platformer one of the most popular video game genres in the third and fourth generation of video game consoles.
Bosses are enemies that fight you at the end of a level or at a significant point in the story.
Collectibles are items such as coins, rings, gems, packages etc. that can be gathered, usually for some kind of reward, or sometimes to simply beat a level. Often (almost too often) the source of earning achievements and trophies on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
Usually seen in 3D platformers, these games ask you to collect certain objects to open up additional levels.

An opponent that typically appears around the halfway point in a level. Mini-Bosses are more formidable than the average opponent, though normally not as tough as the end-level Boss.
These are often a departure from the conventional gameplay of a game. There have also been compilations; games including only minigames. The Mario Party series has a lot of minigames, too!

Power Ups can be used to give the controlling character, or any other character, temporary or permanent upgrades.
Quick Time Events show up in all sorts of games as an attempt to make cutscenes interactive. Press the buttons displayed on-screen before time runs out, or else.
The Rule of Three dictates that a certain action must be repeated three times, usually when fighting a boss battle, in order to complete an objective.
Smart Delivery is Xbox's official branding for forwards compatibility between Xbox One and Xbox Series X. Games with Smart Delivery can be purchased on Xbox One and then will receive a free upgrade to the Xbox Series X version upon release.
