Batman: Arkham Asylum puts you behind the cowl of the iconic Dark Knight, fighting his way through Arkham Asylum to stop the Joker from enacting a sinister plot that would have grave consequences for Gotham City.
Who literally owned in this game? Batman or Joker
I loved how batman was NOTHING like christian bale....
and i think yes The Joker absolutely stole the show. thats his thing
Joker always steals the show. No matter how evil he is, we just like him better than Batman in movies, games or comics.
Batman, he solved all the riddlier's puzzles, defeated the joker. I meant all of their voices are from the batman animated series anyways.
Both of them did. Joker is only as awesome as Batman lets him be, because most of his awesomeness comes from his contrasting Batman. Batman had a ton of great moments, too. I think the writing allowed both of them to steal the show.
Mark Hammill (SP?) did a fantastic job. Even when some of the vocals looped i still loved to listen to it. This is one of the few games i have played recently i actually enjoyed the story of and its one of the only stories in a game that i felt could actually be a comic.
" i hated batman's voice acting. So dry and boring. "yeah, totally emotionless. most of the time it sounded just plain awkward. I think the only time he actually changed his tone of voice was right before he punched joker.
I thought Joker's voice acting was much better. Batman's seemed stiff and wooden, and there was no emotion. Whenever Oracle was like "They are going to destroy the place! Hurry!", Batman would respond with "No, they're not" and that would be the end of the convo.
I think Arkham Asylum was similar to the Dark Knight in the fact that the story wasn't really about Batman, but about the Joker.
" The Joker, definately. I also think this was a hundred times better than the movies, and I'm very happy it is nothing like them. "and why does it feel like reallyyyyyy old topics are being brought up?
" @guiseppe said:Because you're posting on a topic that's somewhat old? If you were to look at the other topics on the Batman: AA forums at the time, you'd see that there were a bunch of discussions about the movies as well. I was merely stating my opinion on the matter." The Joker, definately. I also think this was a hundred times better than the movies, and I'm very happy it is nothing like them. "and why does it feel like reallyyyyyy old topics are being brought up? "
" @Akeldama said:He's Batman, he's not supposed to show emotion. If you saw how Kevin Conroy plays Bruce Wayne, you'd understand why he plays Batman in such a dry tone." i hated batman's voice acting. So dry and boring. "yeah, totally emotionless. most of the time it sounded just plain awkward. I think the only time he actually changed his tone of voice was right before he punched joker. "
The Joker stole the show, he always does.
"Batman was a bit stiff. Maybe he gets nervous around Harley. "Heh, that must be it...
" i hated batman's voice acting. So dry and boring. "
You do realize that the voice actor was Kevin Conroy-the same voice actor that played Batman in the 90's animated series(one of if not the best animated series of the 90's) for over 10 years including the animated Batman movies, the Justice League series and Batman Beyond(as old Bruce Wayne). The same for Mark Hamill
" @Akeldama:@Akeldama said:I dont care who it was. Knowing who did the voice acting (no matter what his resume says) will change my opinion on the voice work done in the game. Mark Hamill did a fantastic job though." i hated batman's voice acting. So dry and boring. "You do realize that the voice actor was Kevin Conroy-the same voice actor that played Batman in the 90's animated series(one of if not the best animated series of the 90's) for over 10 years including the animated Batman movies, the Justice League series and Batman Beyond(as old Bruce Wayne). The same for Mark Hamill "
Eh,I loved it but I respect your opinion. But I do believe that he's had a great deal of experience playing Batman and that he did a great job.
" Even Kevin Conroy admitted Mark Hamill totally dominated the microphone. Kevin did an amazing job as well. But yeah, his voice acting Batman/Bruce Wayne who is an emotionally stable good-guy thus rendering him a bit boring. "
Especially when you compare him to the joker. In the original Batman movie(with jack nicholson) and the Dark Knight people considered The Joker a more interesting character.
You guys are saying Batman never gets too involved like that's a bad thing! That was the best part! I loved when the Joker would just go on and on about his plans, and then Batman would either not respond or just be like, "No." Batman doesn't sound nervous or excited because he isn't. He just gets right to business and is totally confident.
Neither, they are fictional characters that do not exist in the real world so they cannot literally own anything. Nor can they own Batman: Arkham Asylum since it does not exist in their world.
Ok, I’m just being a big jerk here.
I vote Batman since the character is so well realized.
