You get a platinum medal when you get 1000 kills with a weapon. Last night I finally got my platinum for the M60. Now I'm at a loss for what I should do next. I want to try to get platinum for the M4, which is the next closest gun, but I get the most points playing as a Medic than Assault. Hmm... What about you guys?

I got it for the M416. I think thats what your talking. Probably my favorite gun in the game but I'm trying to work on the AUG now

I got my first Platinum with the G3. It's an non-class specific gun, I mostly used it with Recon, played a run 'n' gun style with motion sensors and C4. Worked great, my best K/D ratios came from those games.
 
I also have a platinum with the Engineer's AKS.

nope, but I have gold medals for nearly every weapon in the game.

I got a platinum star for the knife, though you get one for 500 kills. Rather close to the AN94 plat star too, even though I only started using it a few weeks ago.

On the SAW, I never gave into the M60 craze, stuck with the gun I got to love during the demo.

Platinums : XM8 Prototype, MP-443 Grach, AN-94,M416,  and GOL Sniper Magnum

M24 and G3... maybe one day the m9, c4, knife.

I have a few Gold stars on the ak74u, the SAW and m60 I think but Im a long way off getting a platinum on anything.

I'm extremely far from a Platinum Star with anything. The most Gold Stars I have with any weapon is one. From memory I have one star with the AEK-971 Vintovka, the FN F2000, and the PKM.

This always weirds me out. I think I play a lot of BC2, but I'm not even close to getting a platinum on any gun. Do people here just use 2 or 3 guns and never switch?

If i knew 5 people with PS3's i'd have all trophies.

Well got platinum with Tanks, and Attack Choppers and 4 guns namely STG.77 AUG, M416, XM8 Prototype, and the AN-94 Abakan. 
 

I just got the AKS 74U yesterday, by far my most used gun. I have the M416 at ~400kills and G36 at ~350.

Oh yeah, I guess I've got it for heavy vehicles too. I'm not much of a vehicle guy.

M1911 and M60.  Working on the M9 now, got about 250 kills with it so far.  The 1911 is freaking beast though, love point blanking people in the dome!

I have no platinums. In fact, only the Carl Gustav is at gold. The SCAR-L is at 93 though. In fact, I only have 1043 kills total and that's with 21 hrs of play. I just don't play any particular game enough to invest the kind of time it would take.
