    Bionic Commando Rearmed

Game » consists of 9 releases. Released Aug 13, 2008

Bionic Commando Rearmed is a remake of the classic NES game, Bionic Commando. Although it was designed mainly as a marketing tie-in to the 360 and PS3 game also called Bionic Commando, it was actually far, far better received by critics than the real console game.

So BCR is here.  I never played the original on the NES and was wondering will I still like this new version?  I tried out the demo and while it seemed ok, aside from the fact that I kept trying to jump everywhere I went, I wasn't really hooked.  Is there more to the game then the demo puts off?  I mean obviously, but I mean, if I dish out that $10 and get over the non-jumping aspect, will there be a nice pay off in the end result?

    Thanks.

Yeah, it's a nice payout.  I was in the same spot as you, never played it on the NES, but the demo and Jeff & crew convinced me to buy it.  A word of warning tho:  it's kinda hard.  Especially some of those damn challenge rooms...one of them took me 287 tries...grr

I would recommend it, but, to be wise, download the demo.

That's always a good litmus test.

I'd played the NES version but could never get passed the first level... After beating this, I felt like a friggin' god.

If you like collecting upgrades and maybe later putting your swinging skills to the test, then you just may do better with the full game.

Challenge rooms get insanely hard, but that's the point.  This game is WAY easier than the NES version, and the campaign is actually not hard at all when you play on easy mode.  I seriously doubt anyone who called this game hard was playing on easy, which is a shame because I think reviewers whining about the difficulty are going to cause people to miss out on a great game.
