The Contest starts next week and you can win some swag. Unfortunately it doesnt seem to be available to those who live in Florida and New york(Where I live :( ) if I am understanding the rules correctly.
    Heres the link:
    http://social.bioware.com/auction_rules.php
The second rule is worded strangely about the florida and new york thing.

". This Contest is only open to residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia with the exception of residents of Florida and New York, who are 18 years of age or older at time of entry and who had Internet access as of March 15, 2010. Employees of Electronic Arts Inc., and its respective affiliates, subsidiaries, representatives, advertising, promotion and publicity agencies ("Sponsor and its agents") and the immediate family members and persons living in the same household of each are not eligible. Contest is void where prohibited, restricted or taxed by law. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. "

Weird.  Can't enter if you've had internet access since March 15, 2010, you New Yorkers and Floridians.

It's kind of weird that a Canadian company limits it's contest to the States.

So wait, people can't enter if they got their internet after 15-03-2010? W-T-F? What is it what they are trying to stop here? People applying for internet connections so they can enter the contest more than once?

I don't even live in the US, so I'm completely out of luck. But eventually I will live there! And then I will enter every gaming related contest under the sun!

It has to do with state laws and how they are different enough that requires hoops to  be jumped through

Why did they need a countdown for this?  Please BioWare, next time make a countdown for something worthwhile.  Or, as a much more enticing alternative, just never use a countdown again.  Ever.  Countdowns suck.
