I was using an example that bungie could do something amazing if MS would let them, just like Konami let Kojima, that was my point. If Bungie made a game that was as revolutionary as Halo 1 CE, in this gen, you know how epic it could be? But no they are still making Halo games, when they could be doing better things.

However, there is a right way to debate and a wrong way. When you begin attacking someone personally, with ad hominem attacks you have opened a whole other can of worms.

Lol, that is just what you see. But I never bring up a topic about PS3 in a thread unless its already being discussed. If someone brings up the topic of PSN why can't I? Isn't that a little unfair? I need someone to make me a new avatar already, this ones old. But really I don't bring up things about PSN, trophies, or a PS3 game unless its already been said/talked about/being discussed. It has to be true in some cases, but I don't see them milking a franchise because they have so many they don't have to. Halo is what MADE Xbox, therefore it's the main thing they have so of course MS will milk it.
And from my understandings (not only knowing some in the gaming industry), Sony communicates a lot with devs, just look at interviews of exclusive and multiplat games, its imminent. Unless its a game like, I don't know Surfs Up? :P

I know I can, this image has been my avatar for almost two years now. It has always been the eye, but sometimes its red, sometimes its pitch black, sometimes it has my clans logo in it, etc. I always change it up... I need a really good graphics person to make me a new one sometime.

The reason why Microsoft wouldn't let them show that video at E3 was becuase they wanted attention on Gears of War 2. I garenty you after Gears of War 2 launches we will see that video Bungie has. Also who cares if its another Halo, from the rumors so far it looks like it will play extremely different from every other Halo game out there.

Yeah, both from Sony Europe, and? Getaway 3 was early in development anyways, and from what I saw on what they had done so far it wasn't amazing so I see why it might have been canned. 8 Days however, was shaping up to be absolutely amazing. And I highly highly doubt it has been canned, it may be getting another publisher other then Sony EU, or revived later, but I don't think it will be 100% shut. The game had an amazing cinematic system, which blended CGI plus in-game seamlessly, so far that you could not even notice the difference. The animations were also amazing, and the story had many different routes/paths you could take, incredibly non-linear. Main focus was the 2 player co-op, but from what I was told at least it wouldn't be getting ONLINE co-op, one of the main reasons it was canned. Suppsedly online would interfere too much with the graphics and animation, as well as the transition system they had. This game was sadly canned, but if it does come out again and on the same path it was currently on, you can be sure that it will be amazing. I am so sad that it was cancelled, I frigin hate SCEE, from the way they handle their PSN, to the way they handle games, they are like the death corner of Sony sometimes...
This is my take really, well lets give this example.
I put you in a room with 3 people, a large room, a room the size of 10 football fields, and I drop in 8 truck loads of really fun gadgets, eventually you get tired and annoyed with their being so many to try out and you lose the will to get them all as you've got to regain your energy to run across the room and pick stuff up, its like releasing 7 great games at one night. People need to take it slow and get bored of things first and get the cash regained to buy again as I don't really know that many who can buy a new game every week. And the companies need time anyway because allot of people refuse to buy games on release for the price, they need to sell an amount of copies first, then reduce the price, wait again and cover costs, then sell again and give up then another game comes out. That and allot of other reasons I reckon. I'm not specialist in business studies and marketing but Im sure theres allot more to it than we'd angrily want to think.
Although I know what you're thinking, "what does he mean get bored of things first, Im bored of freaking Halo god damn 3?" well, I would also bet that you will agree with me on that the window of what MS consider as "getting bored of a game" is extended out a little too wide by sales tactics and guys who don't play xbox making the descicions for MS.
I mean I had enough trouble trying to pay for COD4, Assassin's Creed and Mass Effect all in a couple months.

How does it not mean people are playing it, if it's at number one again doesn't that show it has better replayability than COD4?
No, it just shows that people have been bored as hell, and have maybe 3 or 4 multiplayer options. Call of Duty 4 raped the list since it's been out. Gears has somehow stayed up there (it's like a party game with shooting- any game you join will just be friends laughing with each other, gameplay is a side thing). Halo was on top maybe a month or a bit longer. Now CoD4's stunted replayability is almost played out, people are giving Halo a bit more of a chance. I was personally burnt out on Halo after 3 weeks, and have only had the urge to play it again once or twice since then.
I really would like to see Bungie stretch its legs and try something new for a change. That designer who wrote the GameInformer article on how he would play out an Action/RPG sounded pretty pumped. If they could do something really revolutionary for the combat structure in the ARPG genre, I have a feeling not even Microsoft would bother trying to order them around anymore.
They should also definitely try something portable. God knows what, but the theme of this post is pretty much that I really want to see what Bungie can do.
It shouldn't be too much longer before Bungie announces their projects they're working on and all of this can be put to rest. Microsoft got the announcement delayed,thats it.You'll still here it very soon,just not sure when.
and just to clear up a few things people seem to think as in "Bungie wouldn't be anything if they hadn't got in bed with microsoft ." Bungie made microsoft a name as a gaming console,and thats all there is to it. Bungie didn't benefit at the time for having microsoft,a name that had yet proven theirself in the gaming industry(no,don't post and say I'm wrong due to PC's) - and one more add on,bungie actually threatened to not finish halo 3 and scrap the project if microsoft tried something to prevent them from leaving and becoming independant,so they aren't on as equal ground as some think,or for that matter shows bungie would like to try something different.(yes I do know this is true btw,not just throwing in a blatant lie)
And finally,yes while Bungie does love Halo,(who wouldn't like a game they made and are happy its successful) and I wouldn't bet one of the three projects bungie is currently working on to be Halo related,all theirself,and all developers get burned out of making the same game over and over again,not meaning they would never make it again,but they like to have a break. A break to do something else for a bit,make something new before getting back into the game they've been doing for 8 years.
Anyway, it shouldn't be long before their projects are out and about in the public,then all of this can kind of be forgotten.

I just didnt think it was worth to keep the 360 when only a few titles I would actually be playing on it, ie exclusives, when my best friend and neighbor has all three...

Are you seriously using that comparison? Lmao. Firstly, MS has no control over Ubisoft, not like they do over Bungie. That game is NOTHING to MS compared to Halo, Halo is what makes the 360 even exist. Of course they will try to milk it as much as they can.

I didn't say they had control over ubisoft, and that was my point, that even if M$ doesn't control a company they can still have an off product, and so what if bungie is making other games? Does that mean they all of a sudden loose control on how to make a decent shooter? Don't think so.
