i've been playin lots of cod4 today, and all of the sudden i notice hardcore headquarters.....when the fuck did this happen?!?!?!?!?!?!

I can't say for the console version of the game. But on the PC hardcore has always been the "norm" as it were for most servers to run.

Not something I enjoy too much considering all the materials in COD4 feel like they are made out of paper.

o well i like it, no kill cam makes it way better

It makes things more challenging for sure, except a lot of the time people just spam P90 / LMG's from a prone position and since all the materials in COD4 are paper thin, you can get slaughtered from half way across the map by someone just going full auto on your spawn.

Still helluva lot of fun to play though, especially with a mass of players on shipment!

Hardcore Headquarters was added to the game somewhere in February, I think. It was when Infinity Ward did a whole week of Double XP as a finale for Modern Warfare.

shocked me to see them do double EXP weekend when they did.
