I love how I always get shipped things early. I got the 'Hardened' edition and I never realised I got a medal with it. It looks lame as hell.

Anyone else get the game early? If so, are you going to play Single Player, Zombies or Multiplayer?

Me? I'm going to get all Veteran on this games ass.

@MrMuscle: It's the best way to play call of duty man. Much more satisfying doing it first time, rather than doing it twice, the second being a real grind.

Playing COD games on anything above normal is a real annoyance. I tried to in MW2, and gave up in frustration. Inching forward during action scenes does not seem like the way the game was meant to be played, imo.

You're a lucky man. I've got mine on pre-order from Amazon Prime, but it won't be delivered until tomorrow. Like with Modern Warfare 2, I'm firstly going to play through the single-player on Regular difficulty in one sitting (takes about five hours), and then head online for 10 levels before calling it a night. Come Wednesday, though, I'm going to be all Black Ops, all the time... Well at least until Gran Turismo 5 is finally released, as that's the last game I plan to get before Christmas (when I'll get Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, Fallout: New Vegas, Fable III, GoldenEye 007, and Donkey Kong Country Returns).

I used to think that when I did 2, 4 and W@W on Vet the first time. But then I did MW 2 on Normal first (to avoid spoilers from the interwebz) and I did Vet on playthrough 2 and found it much easier. Just knowing what's coming and stuff. I'll do it again for Black Ops cause I don't want to read any spoilers.

Veteran on first playthrough is what everyone should do unless it's almost exactly impossible.

I'll be picking it up at Walmart tonight, probably around 1 or so. I'll then probably pound a 40 with my roommate and get down to the multiplayer. I'll get bored of it in 3 days, play through the single player on veteran, then put it on the shelf next to CoD4.

@Baillie: Makes more sense to play it on the default setting on first playthrough as that is normally what developers spend most time working on and you will be able to enjoy the game a lot more. Second playthrough then you can go nuts.

MW2 was the easiest CoD for veteran by far... I only had troubles with one section, and if I hadn't have played it veteran there would have been no incentive (other than to continue CoD4's story) at all.

Let us know if there are infinite spawn points in the campain. Should be easy to know on Veteran.

There should be infinite spawn points.  CoD relies on them to make it a game about moving forward to progress, not hiding at the back to progress.
