Apparently any owner of a German/ Austrian copy of Modern Warfare 3 can`t get into online Multiplayer matches. Every try results in the message "Language Mismatch". What the heck? Do people from other countries get this message when playing online?

I am playing on the Xbox 360 but I heard that Playstation 3-owners got the same error message.

Officially, yes. But retail-stores already started to ship copies and some Gamestop Employees gave out copies, too.

@Xolare: Well, I had my MW2 Copy almost a week earlier and it worked fine. Just seems like IW screwed up something here.

Exactly that`s what I am trying to find out. I heard/ read that players from UK and US can get into online games just fine. So question is if this error message is just a bug of the german version, if people all over the globe are being locked out of multiplayer or if for some wierd reason only on version of the game is being locked out.

yo hi i'm from germany and as i bought this game yesterday i was able to play online for about 5 hours 'till i went sleep. today i woke up and wated to play but this message appeared, so think it's a bug, why else should i play without probs for so long time

Game isn't out yet, it will most likely work on launch day. Enjoy what parts of the game you can until release.

Same phenomenon here. "Language mismatch on download content" - pop-up message after joining a party and shortly before spawning (few seconds of black screen, DVD-working-in-drive sound. Original German version, bought today in official Game store, 69 €. The store owner told me that the people I'd see in the party are either press or industry or testers, and that the servers for the ordinary gamer wouldn't be open before the official release day. Until then no multiplayer would be possible. Does this suck or what?

Of all the games I got before street date not one locked people out from playing Multiplayer Matches. If they decide to shut down Matchmaking/ reset Ranks on Tuesday, fine with me. But it seems odd that people from US and UK can play while owners of a French/ German/ Austrian Versin cannot.

it seems that the prob is solved, i can play again online like everyone else
