Capcom All Up In Your Wallet
Having worked retail at circuit city and a liquor store I can personally tell everyone that we don't care what you have on your card from Hitler to Puppies as long as it works and doesn't give us alot of trouble. Anyway, I get a better rewards program with my Amex.
I would love to get a video game debit card, but I want it linked to my account, not prepaid. What am I, 10?
I saw that advertisement in the Street Fighter 4 box, but I didn't pay close enough attention to it to realize it wasn't an actual credit card. Isn't there some credit card company that lets you use your own picture on the card? I wonder if they would care if you used a copyrighted pic. Probably, but I wonder if some office worker reviewing your submission would recognize Ryu?
Not interested at all. Unless the card had Mega Man on it, in which case I *might* pony up $20 and then never use it again. $30 if it was Elec Man.
The expense is not that bad, I don't see why you chickened out. This is cool collectors fare for any SF fan.
I like the idea of making videogame purchases with it... I'm going to get the PC version also when that comes out, if I was to go into my local videogame store and use one of these to purchase it, man would be the coolest customer they ever had that day lol.
If they have an Akuma one I might be tempted.
I've got a pre-paid card from USAA. Which is awesome because it means I can buy all my stuff online. These actually are great for parents (who are too lazy to pay allowance).
A Street Fighter card seems pretty cool, except I think mine's probably better. I recall Blizzard doing something crazy like this with WoW. It was like every dollar you spent got you $.01 towards your WoW subcription. I think that was a credit card though.
At first glance I was against this card. Now I will get one, maybe buy a game or two to recoup the expense and see what kind of perks and actions Capcom sets up. The way I look at it now being older is that some of the most highly regarded collectables involed hoops people didn't want to jump through or thought was nerdy.
15% off the store and 20% off the mall purchases might be pretty cool on release games. Like SF4 and the Monster hunters coming out this year.

The WoW card is a credit card, not some douchebag debit card for tweens. I don't leave the basement without it.
Prepaid cards are an interesting idea... But unfortunately one that I got a couple weeks ago as a novelty to try out does not even fucking work on steam!!!!! I MISSED THE L4D DEAL!!!
I got one for my birthday and they charged me with all of these fees. The ToU said that it would charge fees for 12 months but the costumer service lady said that they changed that policy to six months.
These things make no sense, why do they cost money when they get to hold the money you deposited into the card and get interest on it until you spend it?
Dirty, dirty business.
