As someone who was pretty excited about Catherine, it's a shame when someone comes in and spoils something. I was talking to a friend this morning and was blindsided by a spoiler about the end of the game.
For people who've played Catherine (though I realize there's probably few of you), is hearing about what happens at the end of the game going to ruin the experience for me?

This game is very story heavy, so I would absolutely say avoid spoilers as much as you can. I've purposely avoided adding anything spoiler-y to the GB wiki as to not ruin the game for people.

Believe me, there are things towards the end of this game you would not expect. I can see why Atlus was trying to be so protective of things that happen after 8th day of this game.

Try to stay away from any talk about anything that happens after the sixth day. Also there are many different outcomes

I'm not sure why this is a specific case for Catherine. This question can apply to any game: "Will spoilers ruin the game for me?" And to that I answer that it depends on you. As they say, is the journey or the destination what's most important to you in terms of the story? Personally, a spoiler for any game will frustrate me deeply and will ruin a lot of the story for me, making me anticipate what I've heard is going to happen and take my focus away from what's currently happening in the story at the point I'm playing at.

In the end he goes for neither of the girls and runs off with the sheep men (no this is not the real ending but it would be awesome, actually I don't even know what the ending is and I don't want to know)
