    Straight through 79%
    Restart with higher level/skills 21%

I like to restart the games in this series after level 10 or so. Feel like I'm just (re)learning the game mechanics initially.

C: If I had the console and the game, I'd probably just Ultimate Grim Reaper (I think that's the name?) it.

In Dead Rising 1 and 2, I restarted because I found myself dying against psychopaths a lot. I don't have 3, but word on the street is that restarting, unless you're on Nightmare mode, isn't really necessary.

I've only played the first few chapters on normal, but so far, it doesn't seem like you need to do any restarting/grinding.

In DR1 and 2 I restarted after levelling up a bit and exploring.

In DR 3 the time limit was more then long enough to get all the missions done so I didn't

I'd say they're just as mindless as each other. Difference is Dead Rising actually has quality on its side, whereas a lot of Dynasty Warriors continues to look like higher resolution PS2 games.

Dynasty Warriors isn't just mindless anymore. I'm not saying it's some deep action game because it isn't, but there is depth to its mechanics that's more than just 'hit X a bunch'.

I dunno man, I've been playing a lot of DW8 lately, and all I need to do is simply keep spamming Musuo attacks over and over (especially considering how often musuo items are dropped), and then finish it up with a Rage Musou attack. If anything considering how much more emphasise has been placed on Musuo attacks now, I'd say the recent string of DW games are even more shallow than the PS2 games.
