    I was playing Dead Rising 3 this morning on Nightmare mode when the alert for the 5 GB update popped up. Due to the size, I checked on Twitter and some forums to see what the update contained and saw multiple reports of game breaking issues. I could not find any patch notes. Unfortunately, with the new system you cannot cancel the download and play offline. You cannot even save your game prior to the update. You can either update or cancel, which takes you back to the home screen. Have you updated the game? Any issues? Any noticeable improvements?

    So, I installed the update and... DOOM. No, not really, it went fine. I followed the advice of some people who suggested not playing the game until the update was fully installed, even though the option to play is available about halfway through the update. Also, I just found a shark's head and that's cool.

    Even though it will say "Ready to Play", you won't be able to access your save until it is 100% complete. When it was done, just to be sure, I restarted my console. Worked fine that way.

    I have had numerous crashes since the update...at one point lost 2 hours or progress....so now I save after every tiny thing as the checkpointing is clearly not up to scratch.
