I can definitely see why people love this game, or hate this game and the more I watch the endurance run, the more I'm tempted to buy it. But its the story that is really heightening my interest more and more. Despite the budget quality of the game, I think the story isn't too bad so far.

That's the only appealing thing to me.  That and all the other weird shit.  Just wait till you see some of the end game stuff.  It will blow your fucking mind.

No you are not!! It's something that's so ridiculous and has so much personality that it has becoming really intriguing to me as well.

The presentation of the story is awful (and amusing) but the general bizzareness of the story is what I find so appealing of this game. It's a shame it's not on the PS3 otherwise I'll be playing this myself now.

I think the technical flaws are what would drive me away from this game. It really looks like it plays crazy janky. Nothing about it is fluid in the dialogues either. I also don't like the pacing.

Nope. The story so far seems very interesting. I think the story and the characters are the highlights of this game.

I find the story pretty interesting so far. I can only hope for a decent ending, though, as this is where most games fall short as far as the narrative is concerned, IMO. Haven't seen a satisfying ending in a game in quite a while.

From watching the ER alone, the story seems to be interesting.  But the combat sucks; things just need to be sped up.  And the driving.  York's eccentricity makes for a good main character, though.

Okay well its good to know that I'm not completely crazy (and I emphasize completely). Agent York is definitely one of a kind. Also because Ryan is pointing out all the references to Twin Peaks, it makes me want to watch it as well though I haven't experienced David Lynch's work ever.

Im totally with you, Im actually enjoying the story. Obviously its not the best in games, a lot of the animation, voice acting and writing could be a lot better there is something that is certainly appealing about the story. At the very least its the best part of the game so far (so far being so far in the ER) and Im really looking forward to getting some new information (and when they talk to the Colonel about the "myth").

I like the story, actually. I don't think it is really good, but I'm constantly curious to how it'll all end for York and Zach. It is the only thing that make the game even slightly ineresting in my opinion.

You aren't crazy, the story is pretty good, high below today's standards with some extremely charismatic characters. 
You'd be crazy if you loved RE4's story, for instance, that was 100% garbage. Good game, though!

It's way better than David Lynch, since you actually understand 60% of the plot.
It's surprisingly decent for a budget video game.
 
No complaints. For least it makes much more sense than what 24 is right now.
