I thought I had a pretty good handle on survival horror games from the early days of CD Rom Gaming. I was quite upset when Parasite Eve didn't come out in the UK. So I was very surprised when I was browsing some old game magazine posts on the internet and found this Resident Evil-alike that was made by Sega, and I'd never heard of it before. In fact, at first I thought it was related to Cold Fear.

Then again, I was a PlayStation kid and played the Saturn maybe once in my life, so maybe it's not surprising. So, I did a naughty and found a 'way' of playing Deep Fear.

And it's not bad! It's full of cutscenes. They are everywhere. Compared to, say, Resident Evil 1 or 2, which had a brief handful, Deep Fear was cramming their discs with dramatic deaths, explosions, and maybe the worst looking digital dog I've ever seen.

I was compelled to make a little video on it, too. I was very surprised with the whole thing and it's a shame they never made another one.

I think I know of this from Retsupurae and it certainly is... something.
