Trying to get this achievement on my first playthrough, got to the part where you have to fight these 2 giant robots and I coulden't find a way to disable them up above so I was wondering if these robots count towards the achievement as they aren't human?

Robots ain't people! Also, bosses don't count. Says so right in the description.

    Bosses actually do count.

Or the enemies in the tutorial level (pre-augmentation) do. I don't know. All I know is that I spent 40 hours playing through Deus Ex and taking the pacifist approach (which is how these games should be played, in my opinion) only to have the fat, juicy achievement not pop for me.

@KingWilly: it says specifically that bosses don't count, so I assume it's the tutorial level

Just finished the game and didnt get the achievement more robots in the end that I destroyed as well so it could be that and also 3 things that are spoilery, Not sure where I went wrong in terms of killing someone, the start of the game would be the only place I killed someone but didn't think it gave you a chance to knock someone out.

Shit, haven't killed anyone and just realized I shot dudes up on the tutorial...hope that isn't it.

On a semi-related note, for the don't get caught one, what constitutes as "caught"- when enemies become "alerted", when they start shooting at you, or when an alarm actually goes off?

For those wondering, killing anyone during the tutorial DOES count against the achievement, you're supposed to completely evade them.

Yeah.  I didn't kill a single dude in the tutorial.  Can't say the same for the first mission, but its easily possible.

Hmmm. Now I'm worried. I didn't try to get through the very first mission without killing, but I've been going non-lethal since. That kinda sucks if that very first mission counts. :/  Oh well, the game is fantastic so far, so it's not like I'm not going to play through again.

Bah.  There's something to be said for taking the non-lethal approach in the missions, but out on the street it's good to get your rocks off killing the gang-bangers.  Screw the achievements.
