I'd usually say I'll wait for reviews, but tbh, given that even harsh reviewers like AngryJoe gave this game a 7 'because it was dragon age', I don't trust a damn thing they say anymore. This just leaves me with user reviews, and they will either be from die-hard DA2 fans, or gluttons for punishment who love misery...so out of the interests of my soul, I won't be buying this DLC, as DA2 was more than likely the most horrible experience Bioware has brought us since Darkspawn Chronicles. And DA2 arrives just about that because it actually worked, but that's like praising Bioware for wiping their collective ass...still not great.
Sorry, but all the 'bitching' about DA2 doesn't go unwarranted. I said it before, and I'll say it again; people played DA:O a lot. Maybe over 6 times, given races, genders, storylines and choices. DA2 is the first big RPG I've seen where people have said "it's not worth another playthrough". Then what was the point of praising the game? If you have to find a reason to play a game again, that isn't based on love for the game, over DLC, then what does that say about the game itself?
It's just something to think about, and if you love the game, great, but for a guy like me? I need a game that makes me want to play it. It has to have a spark, maybe story, maybe gameplay, hell, maybe even characters, that drive me into playing an RPG more than once, or continue playing after it is over. DA2 didn't have that spark. And since it had a '2' in the title, people expected the story to make some sort of narrative sense to the overarching world of Dragon Age. DLC will not draw me in, because the game itself didn't draw me in. And I looked forward to a good Dragon Age game before this...god dammit...
