Less value than Beths Horse Armour

Reading the description you could be forgiven for thinking that Wardens Keep rewards the player for completing it with " a base of operations"  making it worth getting. What you actually get is a chest, a few armour pieces and two traders. You can't even enter the Keep once you've completed it, the door is locked. There is nothing that interesting in the dungeon crawl that you must complete to get your traders and chest. Enter a room, the dead get up and attack you, you kill them, that's about it. There are some notes and the like laying around that give some history to the place but nothing like the advertised " discover what really happened to the Grey Wardens of old and what led to their expulsion from Ferelden" The advertising is misleading and doesn't reflect well on Bioware.  My Mage also got a couple of spells, one was shit and the other one was broken.

Dragon Age is a fantastic game, it's a shame they've let themselves down with the DLC. Keep your money in your pocket and wait for the superior community made mods to appear.

I found the adventure to be quite interesting.  If you didn't find the answers you were looking for I suggest replaying it, this time reading the notes and listening to the conversations since it is pretty clear what happened and why the Grey Wardens were rarer in Ferelden.

Don't write reviews if you're not going to justify your thoughts with at least the facade of evidence.  The two abilities I got worked fine.  Everything was as advertised, in fact it was actually quite a bit longer in terms of adventure length than I was expecting.

Really? did you end up with "a base of operations"? if you did your then the only one, the rest of us got two traders and a chest. The spells/skills you got may have worked but the ones I got didn't, you are aware that different classes get different spells? anyway I'm not alone there as it's mentioned several times on Biowares forums. If they'd made it part of the game it could have replaced the camp and been of some use. I expected more from Bioware, shame they got involved with EA.

@Jim_uk: What exactly were you expecting, an underground command center with a full garrison?

So let me get this straight, you're complaining that every time we camp we don't have to walk to the other side of the map to our fortress?  The fortress is of use and for the amount of money paid I am satisfied with the product.

As for the skills, yes I am aware of that each class gets their own however you conveniently left that fact out of your original comment.  You also left out which class skills you ended up with.

I know it's trendy to blame EA these days but doing so only weakens your argument.   Bioware is a company with a good enough reputation that I doubt their publisher gets involved with their development process.  Warden's Keep may be exactly what they wanted to release.

What I was expecting was a something that at least resembled a base, this is nothing of the sort. You can't even enter the building afterwards. As for the spells " My Mage also got a couple of spells, one was shit and the other one was broken." is accurate, it doesn't suggest all are. If your so concerned then write your own review instead of whining at other people, I stand by what I've said and I won't be changing it.

@Jim_uk: In case you haven't noticed, it does resemble a base.  You own a fortress.  Are you seriously complaining that they don't let you go inside of it and wander around empty halls?  The first time I played through and wanted to leave after clearing the game forced me to run from the mage tower section of the fortress all the way outside and then down a mountain path some.  I thought it was the stupidest thing ever and was greatly relieved everything stays up front so I don't have to go through three different load screens whenever I want to go home.

I do apologize for missing that you had mentioned they were the mage spells.  I decided to give you the benefit of the doubt and rolled up a mage and went and cleared the fortress.  I can now say with complete certainty that you have no grasp on how things work in this game and you are definitely not qualified to write a review of any kind.  I'm in a giving mood though so let me explain these two spells.

Dark Sustenance:  This spell is ridiculously powerful.  The only mage that wouldn't use this is a blood mage because they do not use mana, all others would be spamming it any time they get low enough on mana.  The damage is next to nothing and the mana you get back is a very large amount so in a way it is like having unlimited mana potions.

Bloody Grasp:  This spell lets you damage yourself in order to damage an enemy.  Preliminary testing shows that the spell basically does 250% more damage to your enemy target than it does to you.  This hits harder than any other single target nuke in the primal school or even potentially harder than any other spell period.

Tell me, which of these spells is the useless one and which is the broken one.

I liked it.  They should have put in some more things to do at the keep after completing the quest and/or added the chest to your camp so you don't have to travel all the way across the map to get to it.  But overall pretty interesting story, fun little quest, and the boss character is pretty cool except that it randomly drops a sword or shield but often neither.
