I like Dragon Ball Z, its probably one of my top 5 favorite manga/anime series that I like. There has been a number of DBZ games released over the years. Some have been bad, some are decent, and others are good. I really like the series, and I want to play a good DBZ game. I played a handful of them and some were good and the others can use some work.

Can anyone recommend a good DBZ game that is on current gen consoles? Older gen consoles can be listed as well.

Tenkaichi 3 for PS 2.

The Budokai ones were all right. Not deep or anything, but fun to just mash buttons and whatnot.

Well, back when I used to be obsessed with that show, I always thought Super Dragon Ball Z was the best. Took more after the manga rather than the cartoon in the way it looked and it felt more reminiscent of a Street Fighter game. That or Dragon Ball Z Legends because it was fairly unique but the gameplay is probably crap.

I've played DBZ: BT3 and it's a good game. I played the entire Legacy of Goku Trilogy and I think the 2nd one was the best. Buu's Fury was crazy and Legacy of Goku could have been better. The damage system in that game is insane. One minute you can bite by a dog and recieve little damage. The next minute, the dog bites you again and I'm almost dead! I also played the first two Budokai games and they were good. I have been hearing that Budokai 3 was the best and the sad part is I never played or ever own the system that is on. The bright side is its being rereleased for the 360 thanks HD Collection. BT2 was alright.

I remember there being some good DBZ games on the PS1 and the Budokai games were pretty great on the PS2/Xbox/GC.

This for sure, one of my favorite games.

The PSP games are great. Hyper Dimension for SNES is good. Can't speak to the quality of PS2/PS3 games, but I hear good things.

The budokai series was amazing

I'm also gonna recommend Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3 as it's probably my favorite DBZ game. And there just so happens to be an HD update of Budokai 1 and 3 coming to the PS3/360 this winter. Don't know why they skipped Budokai 2 though.
