Career
Eugene Evans was one of the early superstars of the video game industry, after becoming one of the original UK founders of
Imagine Software. During the so-called golden age of home computer gaming in the early 1980s, Evans was featured in news stories regarding his astronomical £35,000 annual salary as a games developer while still only a teenager. Later it would emerge that his salary was nowhere near as high as what the PR stories made it out to be. Imagine Software was rightly reported as being populated with staff driving high-end sports cars such as Ferraris, Porsches and Lotuses, a situation that would see the company go spectacularly bust just a few months later.
Evans moved to the US in the 1990s, where he was involved in the publishing, development and licensing of a variety of games on platforms such as the Nintendo 64, Game Boy, PalmOS and Pocket PC.
In 2004 Eugene Evans joined Mythic Entertainment as VP of marketing and business development.
