Reminds me of my family trip to the Hoover Dam where I shot scorpions with  BB guns, collected bottle caps and injected myself with anything that was lying around. Ahh the 90's.

Oddly enough, I get a STRONG Dark Tower vibe from it. Mojave desert, post-apocalyptic wastelands, gunslingers... Okay maybe it's not that odd, but it was unexpected!

I've only played about four hours or so but I'm getting a much stronger Fallout 1&2 vibe than I got from Fallout 3. Also, hardcore mode is the only way to fly.

Makes sense, Obsidian was formed outta ex-Black Isle people. The franchise returned into the creators' hands.

Honestly, I think New Vegas feels a lot more like a direct sequel to Fallout 1 and 2 than Fallout 3 did.

I think when any two things are based around the themes of a certain historical era there are going to be parallels you can draw, I don't think Bioshock and Fallout are too alike by any means.

I always get the Pulp Fiction Comic vibe from the Fallout games. Stuff like weird scientists/horror comics and doc savage. The whole tales from the weird motif.

I think it is more of both games sharing the same style of being set in the past but having tech far past there time, both have this 50s sci-fi vibe going on.

    Also, this.

I did that last night.  "Just one more quest" seems to be uttered a lot in my house.  Of course, I'm uttering it to myself, but it still gets uttered.
