Hey Duders,

Here is the latest Deep Look! Deep Looks are largely gameplay and commentary like a Giantbomb quicklook; however, I try to cover games that have been out for a while and I intend to use the videos to highlight moments and mechanics that I found particularly worthy of highlighting and exploring. Also I aim to keep the videos under 20 minutes.

In this Deep Look I continue my preparations for my Final Fantasy IX speed run in the Giantbomb Community Endurance Run. The GB Community Endurance Run is going to be raising money for Pencils of Promise, a charity that builds schools, trains teachers, and puts kids through school in developing nations, from April 10th through 12th. You can even name FFIX characters if you include the character and the name you would like with your donation!

In this video I show off how to best all of the bosses from Beatrix 1 to Beatrix 2. That includes strategies to wait out Beatrix 1's sword assault, Black Waltz 3's magic, Ralvurahva's string, and Antlion's sandstorm. I even show off how getting mugged can be advantageous!

I just realized something I pronounce Zidane completely differently than you do. I've always said Z-eye-Dane (like your eye and Dane like the dog breed) it. Looks like you say it closer to the way it was probably intended which according finalfantasy wikia is " ziˈdɑːn ". Hunh guess that mistake on my part is something that doesn't happen in today's Voice acted world.

Re: that Pink worm, according to the wikia its' name is Ralvurahva. I don't know how you say that either. That last "H" I'm guessing is probably silent so maybe, Ral-Vura-va?

@slag: I started using the french pronunciation for Zidane when I made my first FF9 video. I pronounced it the way you do and I was immediately corrected. I knew that the french way was probably the correct way, but old habits die hard.

I also know the pink worm has a crazy long name that starts with an r and has a bunch of consonants that touch, but I can never remember which name belongs to the green worm from later in disc 2 and which belongs to the pink worm. I hope that those two worm names are references to earlier FF games because thos things are long and cumbersome.
