    Although this is FF: Dissidia related I thought I'd come and voice my opinions to those who care.

    Now tell me, exactly how badass does Zidane look in this concept art for Dissidia. 1. I can't wait to see the full model. 2. This has proven to me that Square haven't forgotten about IX and thus rekindled some hope that they may someday remake it.

    Ah, you're both so wrong. The tail only adds to the "badassishness". Think about it, in a fight would a tail, which is effectively a third limb, not be a serious advantage.

    ...if only he could hold a third knife with it...

    it's also another liability.
    Having a tail in combat is just asking to get it pulled on.
    Besides, he looks kind of badass as is, despite the fact that he's scrawny. A tail makes him seem to....i dunno, i just dont like it.

    Zidane is the least badass hero in final fantasy history. He's ok, at least he's not mega emo, but he is far... farrrrrrr from being any way remotely bad ass.

    have you played all the FFs? cause if you have, can you tell me more about this squall leonheart guy?

    Yeah I've played them all, and sure tidus seemed a little sucky, but I associate that more with James Arnold Taylor than the character himself, I mean, the guy is entitled to moan a lot when he's been sucked into a completely new world from what he's used to, at least the rest had some element of choice with there adventuring.

    And Squall is badass, sure he speaks to himself an unhealthy amount and is uncomfortably bad with women but other than that the guy has a sword which shoots bullets, nuff said (lol, what a weird idea that is, I know it's all about the shock of the shot making the blade vibrate to cause more damage, but even so... odd)

    I think if Zidane had a voice he would be almost as annoying as the rest of the Final Fantasy IX cast, don't get me wrong I love that game but most of the characters have some serious issues, Steiner for example spend most of the first 2 disks moaning about the princess, Vivi, as cool as he was did start to annoy me when he was powerful enough to destroy seriously epic monsters, yet he still couldn't walk more than a few feet without falling over, Freya took the idea of an emo character in a Final Fantasy game to new and so far unreached heights, seriously, she was so emo even her town was under constant rain... give me a break, and no joke for the first two disks (or so, I forget exactly when it was mentioned) I was CONVINCED that Kuja was a chick, it was only when people started calling him brother that I had a bit of a revelation in that sense.

    Zidane is pretty cool, though I don't think I'd describe him as badass. He's way to chibi to be called badass.

    Well compared to the original he definitely looks a lot more hardcore.
    He reminded me of a 5 year old kid in the original concept art.
