I don't know whether to play it or not. What do you all think about the game? Have you played it yet; plan on playing it if you haven't? Assassin's Creed is so hit and miss now for me, even if I did get this game and enjoyed it, it's awkward, because I probably wouldn't be excited for the next after it. Maybe I should get it, but not right now. While I have the money to get both, perhaps I should just wait until later, when I'm done with Halo 5, which comes out on Tuesday (or, is out now, depending on when you read this I suppose). What do you all think? How does it compare to the other AC games? For me, I thought the first Assassin's Creed was okay, I loved the Ezio trilogy; Revelations being the worst of them, but still great (and arguably has aspects in which I liked more in it than the previous two). I thought Assassin's Creed 3 was mediocre, bordering on poor. Assassin's Creed: Black Flag was superb, but I wasn't into the ship combat (contrary to many people's feelings on it, as from what I gather, is vice versa: liking the ship stuff, but not on foot gameplay. Sword fighting wasn't great though). Unity wasn't bad, but it was somewhat dull, and nothing to be excited over for me.
Edit - A little bit off topic, but it's coming to my mind right now. I am listening to the Black Flag soundtrack right now; it has a pretty good one from Brian Tyler. It makes me want to ask two questions, which are your favorite AC soundtracks, and as you play it, does Syndicate have a good one? I tried listening to it on YouTube, but honestly, as I listened to a few tracks, it was kind of a bore to listen to, which can be different from when you're actually playing the game since context can change it. The soundtrack is actually by Austin Wintory, the guy that did the Journey soundtrack. I know a lot of people enjoyed that games soundtrack; it wasn't amazing to me, but it worked well in that game. I think the majority of the AC soundtracks have been great, except Unity's was forgettable. I can't even remember what it sounded like. I really liked Brian Tyler's music with Black Flag as I just mentioned, and I felt Lorne Balfe's soundtracks (for Revelations, with Jesper Kyd, and three) were pretty great as well. Oh, and Freedom Cry, which I didn't enjoy that much actually as a game, had some good tracks, albeit somewhat melodramatic sounding, as if the composer (which I had never heard of before, named Olivier Deriviere) was trying to get an award for it or something, which sounds weird, but that's what came to my mind when I heard some of it. I'm listening to it now actually, just to remember it, and it's good!
