No. This is often a very entertaining segment (particularly the WiiWare and DSiWare sections) due to the ridiculousness of some of the 'back of the box' quotes.
Would you be in favor of eliminating the "new release" section of the Bombcast where Ryan reads the back-of-the-box description for upcoming games?
Hell no. It's funny and the music is awesome. Just hearing how baffling some of those descriptions are is pretty damn amusing. I would love if Vinny's idea was realized, and we all got to draw what we thought these games were supposed to be, solely on the description alone.
No, if only for the one where they had a guest as he was reading them out and he kept saying.
"But you do this every week?!"
"You seriously do this every week?!"
Made me giggle, because they totally do.
That's always the section of the bombcast that leaves me laughing the hardest. No way would I want to eliminate hilarious conversations about really shitty back-of-the-box descriptions. Besides, they usually skip the actual reading of the description for the games we actually know/care about, that's not taking up much time at all. And every once in a while something's release date will sneak up on you, so it's nice to have a reminder about anything important that does come out.
Otherwise: if a banana appears on screen, simply whack it off!
I won't belabor the points that have already made about New Releases being hilarious, and about there being no such thing as too much Bombcast, but I especially take issue with the idea of needing more emails. Ryan already struggles to pluck even a few worthwhile emails out of the mountain of shit-mail that you idiots send in every week, so having to scrape the bottom of the barrel even more vigorously to read more retarded questions is actually the worst possible idea.
Ack! I made a bad click there. I clicked yes when I meant no.
I love the reading of the descriptions but I think it could be fun to make a game out of it. They had joked about having people submit their concept of the box art for these games based on his descriptions and I almost think it should go a step farther. He should read the description without saying the title then give the others a moment to guess at the titles.
the segment isnt as funny as they make it out to be and it doesnt provide any acutal information because they had already talked about all of the big realses in the "what have you been playing" segment and my complaint isn't that the show is to long hell i would love it if they did three or four hour shows but i want meaningful content
He only reads descriptions for the wiiware/dsiware games, and it's just stuff from the store pages. There are no boxes or back of the box descriptions. This poll kinda sucks, because he's asking if they should stop talking about wiiware/dsiware games, not all releases. You can't talk about some online game delivery services and then ignore the Nintendo offerings without being clearly biased.
Yes because it is impossible to skip ahead 60 seconds so you don't have to listen to it and it's not exactly like the the poll is saying almost 85% of people don't think it should be removed......Oh....wait.....
Hell no. It's another one of the many things that make GiantBomb unique. Who else in this world could make READING A BOX exciting? No one. No one except GiantBomb.
No. I used to dislike that section but I love hearing the descriptions for the Wiiware and DSiware games. They're funny.
Is this the thing where they do the Wiiware games and stuff. If it is than no.
I don't know if any one rembers from the podcast a couple weeks or more ago. But what happens when a banana appears on your screen?
(podcast joke lol)
Holy freak, no! That's the funniest part! Especially when they get to the WiiWare/DSiWare garbage. I was in a public library trying to study and listening to the Bombcast, and when it got to that part I had to turn it off because I was having to stifle my laughs too much. I love how they play the music, too.
I think the best part is how Jeff reacts to the most absurd and awful sounding games. "DUUUUUUUUUUUUDDDE!!!! YES!" I love it.

Didn't see that coming.
