No. Are you stupid? Yes, you are.
Would you be in favor of eliminating the "new release" section of the Bombcast where Ryan reads the back-of-the-box description for upcoming games?
" *plays Wii and DS shop music in thread* "Damn you!
I voted no; it's a pretty funny segment.
" @Vinchenzo said:No not really, the guy asked a question an you're being cunts about it." No. Are you stupid? Yes, you are. "Well said. "
Believe or not, not everyone on GB thinks everything the staff does is awesome.
It should be tedious. But sometimes some of the funniest banter in the show comes out of it. Keep it!
" @EvilHaole said:You are right I was being a cunt, but based on my response you can hardly tell if I think everything the staff does is awesome. I find it extremely funny to hear the crap PR people are paid to come up with that are put on Nintendo releases. And based on the results of the poll it is safe to say the vast majority of people would tend to agree with me.

It should be a stupid section, but the descriptions that are provided are so terrible it becomes awesome. If the people puttin out those games gets their act together, then it should go. Until then, it's too funny NOT to read.
Yea its unnecessary and sometimes they go too long but it only takes that one week where they have some super idiotic game they can totally bludgeon to death with the funny to make it all worth while.
Instead we should hope more shifty Wii games and or Wiishop games come out for them to trounce.
Also: Bring back the fucking drinks!
No, absolutely not. Too many of the descriptions they read are just so ridiculous, which gives the GB crew plenty of room to riff on them in entertaining ways.
Also agreed that drinks should come back, Goddammit.
It's not as bad as it should be on paper, but it does drag. Mostly because I can't help thinking "Does anybody listening to this ever even consider buying this stuff?". I would guess that a tiny, tiny percentage of the audience find it genuinely relevant to their interests.
Having it is better than not having it I guess, sure, but the time could probably be better used.
It's the 'opportunity cost' of the segment which puts me in mind to vote no for this one. It does produce some great moments but generally not as many as the other segments - if there was another possible segment or possibly a longer emails part then I would at least be interested to see how that would work.
In lieu of what? Just to make the shorter?
I don't really care about the section, but I also don't care about shortening the podcast.
bombcast is perfect the way it is. the contempt for the crappy generic games makes for a great podcast
Hell no. That part is FUNNY AS FUCK when the descriptions are horrible. Also bring back the drinks segment! I am more than happy to listen to 3 hours of bombcast.
