Embiggen/Debiggen on YouTube video turns volume down to like 10%

When I use the Embiggen/Debiggen functionality on videos that are hosted on YouTube, the volume turns down very low when the Embiggen/Debiggen button is clicked, regardless of where I set the volume beforehand. I'm in Chrome 57.0.2987.133 (64-bit) on OSX.

Yeah, I noticed this today on OSX in Chrome as well.
