I was watching a video on Progressive HD (in Firefox 26.0). I plugged in an iPhone on Windows 7, and it made the standard "you plugged in a USB device" noise. Immediately after this, the audio on that video that was playing got insanely quiet.
Not entirely sure what the cause and effect was. I don't know if the Windows audio ping is somehow overriding the video player sound, or if the video player sound got quiet because it recognized the iPhone as an audio playback device or something. Or maybe this is a Firefox "feature" or something?
I reloaded the page shortly thereafter and removed the iPhone, and that restored the sound. Maybe this is all irrelevant because you're switching to the new video player soon anyways.
