Trying to pause YouTube video embed just unmutes it

When I load this page, the YouTube video automatically starts playing while muted, and clicking the Pause button just unmutes the player. Clicking again on the Pause button pauses the player. This is the first time I've encountered this behavior. I'm on Firefox with no ad blocker, as a logged-in premium member.

Not staff obviously but isn't this a built-in Firefox interaction with its autoplay settings? If your autoplay settings for a website are set to block audio then the Firefox layer will register the first click on an autoplaying video as the 'click to unmute' after which you will interact with the player as normal.
