2011, Year of the PS3?

Microsoft have recently said they have a few unannounced secrets up their sleeves for next  year which include core, casual and Kinect titles. But Sony's already announced line up for 2011 is pretty ridiculous, considering none of them get delayed:  
 
Mass Effect 2 - January
LittleBigPlanet 2  - January
Killzone 3 - February 
Motorstorm Apocalypse  - Spring 
Yakuza 4 - Spring?
Socom 4: Special Forces -Spring?
Ico/Shadow of the Colossus Collection - Spring  
Ratchet and Clank: All4One - TBD 2011
Twisted Metal - Spring/Fall?
inFamous 2 - Sometime 2011
Resistance 3 - September
Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception - November   
Journey - TBD 2011
Pixel Junk Shooter 2 - TBD 2011

 Didn't include 'The Last Guardian' because that does not have an official release window yet and it would be stupid if Sony released that game in the highly clustered coming year. Microsoft have Gears of War 3 and Forza 4 as their big fall releases, but I bet Rare or 343 Industries might reveal something. I have no idea what Nintendo have since they been silent but considering they had a pretty good year for the Wii, my guess is that they will probably focus on the 3DS next year. But dude, all that investment into independent studios has really paid off for Sony, especially in the coming year.

Not all those games will even make it past 90% on gamerankings. We know LBP 2, killzone 3 and uncharted 2 will be, that's given. I'm more interested in 3rd party games for 2011.

Fill that list with obscure budget titles that have nothing to do with shooting or open worlding and I'd say...Maybe?

I'll admit that they have some awesome games coming out but im still going to end up buying more games for 360 than i am for PS3 :S 

All sequels. Nothing interesting about that and Uncharted 3 is the only one I'm vaguely excited about. Infamous 3 is one I'll play but not particularly bothered if it gets pushed. Killzone and Resistance are interchangeable and generic FPS.
 
The games I'm most excited about are not PS3 exclusives.

2011 is going to be the year of Steam! just like every other year! But I'll accept ps3 as 2nd place, sure

Let's just say a good year for gaming in general.  If you can't find something this coming year to enjoy then you're not much of a gamer.

Do people really love Resistance as a franchise ?  No offense but the series hasn't exactly wowed me. Don't get me wrong I think they are solid games but I would rather Insomniac make a new Ratchet and Clank game without a 4-player co-op gimmick (which I believe might come out this year)  or an entirely new game. 
 
As an owner of both a PS3 and 360 I love it when PS3 has a shitload of exclusive titles because most multi-platform games I buy for the 360.  Not bad for what is the last year of gaming before the apocalypse.  I just wish these games would come out earlier next  year so I have more time to play them before 2012.

Do you mean will it have the best games in 2011?  Yeah, I think so.
Are you asking if it will outsell the other consoles?  Nah, probably not.
 
You shouldn't say 'Year of the X' though.  It makes it look like you think the other platforms won't be relevant.

This year of the PS3 topic keeps poping up...every fucking year. Seriously, sony is doing fine. I dont use my ps3 alot yeah, but not because its a bad system. I just dont like the controller very much. There is never going to be a "year of the ps3". Or xbox, or wii. Ugh.
