@Vonocourt: I see, thanks for the info duder. The chat is a cesspool.
Yeah, reddit turns anything it touches into absolute shit.
Awesome event, just happened across it because someone left a link in the seaserpent chat and now I've watched for something like 30 hours. Super meat boy 106% run was great, and the batman AC 100% run was nuts too.
Watching. So far I'm liking the games that are pure skill and minimal gliching, and the ones that are pretty much entirely glitch based. Games that are sort of in the middle of that seem to be a little more boring.
Super Meat Boy (skill) and Amnesia (crazy glitch mania) have been my favorites so far.
Dark Souls is starting... god I love this stream. Been watching the archives on Twitch during games I don't really care about. So much entertainment in the last week.

Mass Effect is getting fucking worked over right about now!
LOL quicksaving and loading twice gets you out of bounds in the Citadel Tower during your very first visit to The Citadel. At about 15 minutes into the game.
A man dressed as Link is playing 100% Ocarina of Time.
"My favorite fact about runnerguy is that he was once in a OoT race, but his internet had gone down by the time he had finished his run. Not letting this beat him he grabbed his video camera, for proof, ran out of his apartment and sprinted for about 5 minutes to get to his library to upload his 'I finished the race' message. He got 2nd place in the race." -Paused

Saren shoots himself at 1 hour, 34 minutes and 8 seconds.
Mass Effect completed in 1 hour, 37 minutes and 58 seconds.
God damn.
I ran through ME skipping all cutscenes/dialogue/combat/side-missions and it still took me 5 hours to do on Insanity with a level 50+ soldier. Damn that guy was good.
Giant Bomb was just mentioned, seems like we sent someone over to the stream from here. Let yourself be known to us, because you're awesome and donated to the cause!
Phantom Ganon was beaten at 1 hour, 12 minutes and 37 seconds into the run.
Reached Ganon's Castle at 1 hour, 25 minutes and 34 seconds in! He could complete the game right here if he wasn't doing a 100% run.
Right now we've got 33k watching and are just 3k away from reaching $300,000 raised!

If it was during the OoT 100%. then that was me, Mace. I saw this thread on the first day it started and been watching/leaving the stream on since the tail end of Mischief Makers. So excited to see the DMC3 run.
This has been a ton of fun to watch chunks of. I've seen OoT runs before but having someone describe the wrong warp insanity while pulling it off was awesome!
Did anyone else hear the donation announcement from one Patrick Klepek earlier today? Heard one from John Bain (TotalBiscuit) as well but I imagine that name is more common than Klepek.
@Vinny_Says: Yuuuuuuuuuuuuup! It's given me inspiration to try and rescue my Mass Effect trilogy 100% playthrough. You think Brad had issues when he was trying to deal with his save game fiasco? Oh boy. Imagine that situation, but with all combinations of male, female, paragon, renegade and hardest difficulty setting thrown into the mix.
@ESREVER: Yuuuuuuuuuuuuup! Thanks for giving to a good cause duder!

Just heard a donation message read out with the word 'duders' in it. Yay!
@Pie: Peaches__, one of the cooler dudes. He got really drunk and didn't want to embarass the charity by going on stream in that state, so he let another guy take his spot where he was supposed to run some game. Uyama (The guy who hosts the marathon and I think the founder of SDA) got really pissed off and said Peaches wouldn't be allowed to run a game for the marathon ever again. I don't know if the ban also means he can't even come to the marathon though. Either way, Peaches isn't at the event any more.
They ought to allow controllers with turbo for some of these text heavy games. Mashing through text for hours and hours has to be tough on the fingers. :p

The Japanese speed runners started using turbo controllers and the US speed runners frown upon it.

Interesting. The whole speed running community is new to me.
