Go back to the LOG and turn the handle thingy and you'll get a new one.

is there a chance it got pulled up onto a huge magnet? if you were by the jiggoseum/dock area, this is probably the case. it happened to me and I didn't realize it at first. You have to use a nearby switch to operate the magnet.

okay i found it at the magnent...how do i get it out?

You gotta get your trolley updated from a Grunty boss battle, then you'll have the ability to get to the spiral-like island where you can operate the crane. Don't worry, your game globe is safe on that magnet until then.
