HALO actually has a pretty large fanbase in Japan, it's one of the few western franchises along with GTA that have really managed to sink in there. Obviously it's not huge due to abysmal 360 sales, but there is a decent chunk of the Japanese populace that cares about HALO.

but remember- think of all those jrpgs, in particular the ps2 rpgs, that sold around 10k in the states- persona in particular. Some have wet dreams over those games. they sell like shit. i think the xbox 360 is right now, but getting out of it, viewed as the hardcore gamer only console
