Also, if I could get the previous poll locked, that would be great. Thanks.
By demand - Which Star Wars game is the best to date? (revised)
Where the fuck are X-Wing Alliance and Star Wars Supremacy/Rebellion? This poll is still bullshit!
This isn't even a fair fight. KOTOR was like, the blueprint for everything Bioware has done in the last seven years. KOTOR did for RPGs what Halo did for FPS (I mean that in the best way possible). It's kind of a big deal compared to everything else on the list.
Jedi knight 2. Went downhill from there sadly with Academy being alright but nothing special and force unleashed being poor past the first few levels.
KotOR was the game that really got me into Star Wars :)
I also enjoyed the Lego Star Wars games immensly, they weren't without their flaws but it was some good fun with a ridiculous amount of unlockables. Really can't wait for the 3rd.
Battlefront or The Force Unleashed. I haven't played Republic Commando or KOTOR, but both look great.
KotOR is definitely my reflexive answer, but I wonder how it holds up in my post Baldur's Gate 2, Dragon Age, and Mass Effect 2 experience. I'm guessing that when I remove those ruby tinted glasses things won''t be quite as great as I remembered.
fuck knights of the old republic. As much as I love Bioware for their newer games, KOTOR's gameplay was shit. Everything else was fine about the game, but KOTOR offered no variation whatsoever. Lemme run you through it. Buff. Buff. Stun Droid. Flurry. Force Heal. Wait. Force heal? As in Wait 30 seconds to replenish your force mana to heal back to full life? Have you ever seen an RPG that gave you access to unlimited heal? Final Fantasy 13 was at least BALANCED for single battles w/o attrition....
I'm such a Star Wars junkie. I've played almost every game up there and enjoyed most of them. By far my favorites are Republic Commando, both KoToRs, Galactic Battlegrounds, the Racer series, and the Rogue Squadron games.
