What's going on, Clifford, is you've got the ADD. I'm not a big fan at all of his asynchronous gaming future. The last thing I want is to be pestered by someone to do some chore for them for their game. I get his compulsion to push all that, cus reading between the lines, its about making every kind of game online mandated to curb piracy.

I watched the whole thing. It was a pretty good panel. 

I was wondering if that quote was a direct reference or not, and it was. Overall, this is a fantastic panel, thanks for sharing it.

The panel was actually really good and interesting. 

Yeah, I don't need a Gerstmann mention to watch a Bleszinski panel.

His vision of the future makes me despair, but it was an interesting watch.

Am I the only one that remembers Shawn Elliott doing on-the-street interviews about a fake shooter called "Duty Calls" in like 2006? Is this a fever dream?

Cliff is cool.  I remember when they did UT and he would do a column on the website calling out outstanding fan made maps.  1998 was an amazing year in gaming.

That was a very good panel, well worth listening too.

Sweet, now I have a new topic for the audit with my programming/business teacher. That panel was awesome - I think Cliff is really onto something with the idea of game designers/power creatives being brands (read: Sid Meier, John Romero(Though obviously John Romero doesn't have nearly as much weight as he did in his glory days), and of course Cliffy B), and how "the audience underneath our feet is always shifting." 
 
Also, as others have said, yeah, the Jeff mention is very very small - insignificant, even. Was just something to move the conversation along.

You guys should totally read about cliff in the book smartbomb. My opinions of him changed a bit after reading that book.
