Decision Time: Mass Effect 2 or BioShock 2?

My Birthday is coming up in February, and my folks said they'll buy me a game for it. I've had zilch game money for a while, so which ever game I don't pick up on launch, I might not get at for a month or two. So, if I want, I can pick up ME2 on launch day. OR I can pick up BS2, which actually drops on my birthday.  I honestly can't decide which to pick up.

You should do a poll but my vote goes to Mass Effect 2

Bioshock 2 seems like an unneeded addition to the franchise, whereas Mass Effect 2 is the logical continuation of the original's story arc. 
 
Of course Bioshock 2 could still surprise me, but Mass Effect 2 is by far the surer bet.

Yeah, Mass effect 2 seem like the better choice. They had planned for the story for Mass Effect to be in 3 parts, whereas in Bioshock it feels like they are just tacking on more stuff, as a fan service.

.... wow, that's an overwhelming majority right there. It's a sure fire AAA game. B2? Have to wait for reviews to find that out - like people said, it's a sequel to a game that never needed one. It looks solid gameplay-wise but it was the story that made Bioshock great, not the decent but not spectacular gameplay. And with Ken Levine no longer the creative lead on this project, I'm playing it safe and keeping my expectations low

Listen to the Bombcast about these 2. I think it's for 1/12 or 1/5. But even they make it sound like ME2 is worth it and Bioshock 2 is just an addon for fans and money.

Going with Bioshock 2 over Mass Effect 2 would be the action of a crazy man.

just gonna throw out there, Bioshock 2, because I never played Mass Effect, but have played Bioshock 6.5 times (2 different gamer accounts, both endings, and Midway through getting the evil ending on PC). WOO, REBEL REBEL!!
