I wouldn't care. They just can say it at the end.
Do you want Video Reviews to end with the number of stars the game recieved?
Way back, during the inception of Giant Bomb, everything was new, and the GB crew were experimenting with their features and content. Sometimes, the video reviews ended with a mention of how many stars the game got (Viva Pinata, 50 Cent, etc). Now, however, that doesn't happen. I think, it being a review, it would make sense to end the video with the stars so as to bring it to a proper conclusion.
What say you?
Oh, wait, I thought you meant the regular reviews. Yea, it'd help to have the score in there somewhere.
" I'm not sure how that would mesh with the usually quirky and often hilarious style in which the video reviews currently end. Would the end of the Alan Wake video review have the same impact if the next screen was the score? Maybe...maybe not. "It still could work.
Ex. Brad finishes talking, and a transition (preferably the "P4 ER power outage" transition in which it flashes white) shows a simple screen with the stars and their respective drawings, and AFTER that it fades to black and the AW/DP video plays. It's not as if the ending was "integral" to the video structure: it was bolted onto the end. It would just simply come right after the score.

There should be a star rating next to the game right below the video next to the game's cover if there's a review. And if there isn't, take the most well-received user review rating.
" Who cares about the star score? "Some people, unfortunately, are unable to get a decent idea of what the game is going to be like even after a quick look AND video review.
" @Coombs said:Yep a 1/2 hour video displaying the game itself with a narrated review just isn't enough I guess," Who cares about the star score? "Some people, unfortunately, are unable to get a decent idea of what the game is going to be like even after a quick look AND video review. "
Good thing they have that 1 digit scoring system to clear things up

We're talking about 5 minute video reviews, not 25 minute Quick Looks.

It should end with just a brief summary of the game and if they believe it's worth playing. I'd rather hear that than "omg bad game 2 stars".
" Can't see why it's necessary. Why bother? You can see it right on the page. "The VIDEO review, not the review page.
I'm with a lot of reviewers on this one; we need to not put so much stock in the review score. I think the 5 star system provides a reasonable summary of how the reviewer felt about the game, and is therefore useful as the first level of impression a user sees. That's why it's displayed next to the game in the review snippet. The video review already provides a far greater impression of the reviewer's thoughts on the game and would not be well served by rolling back to the first level impression provided by the star system.
If I remember correctly, Jeff was a big proponent of reducing the review scale down to 20 back in the GS days. I think the Giant Bomb crew have reached a nice medium here. Those only interested in first level score-based impressions are served up front, because they typically don't want, or have no time, to look into the game further. Quick Looks and Video Reviews provide a deeper insight into the reviewer's impressions while the full text review covers the game in the most depth.
I could personally be without scores all together, but I can appreciate their value for a lot of people.

I am in partial agreement: sure, scores are meaningless without the content of the review, but what I'm mostly arguing for here is redundancy: they already give games tangible scores; why not finish videos with them?
If they fill like adding it in then it is cool but I don't think it should be forced into every video. Have them do their reviews the way they want to.
" @MormonWarrior said:Dude, I know. I usually watch the video review on the actual review page. There's no real point to displaying the score in the video. If they want to do that, that's fine. It's not much of an argument either way. I don't think it would be a bad thing, just unnecessary." Can't see why it's necessary. Why bother? You can see it right on the page. I don't care for review scores, and it doesn't even matter anyway. Read the goddamn review. It's like saying, do you want the reviewers to say hello and acknowledge your existence at the start of each video? Who gives a crap. It's as trivial as that.
If you listen to the words the reviewer is saying, then a score should be obvious, especially after the summation at the end of the video
