Ever beaten a game without dying
" Prince of Persia 2008 :) Honestly though, I don't think I've ever kept track of something like that. So probably, no. "You're totally full of it. You know Elika had to save your butt a couple times, don't even try to deny it. Those orbs are too tempting to be ignored. Surely you had some kamikaze orb jumps.
Personally, I didn't even get the 100 deaths or less achievement in the game, but I kept trying to cheat and get to hard-to-reach orbs early.
" @RainbowRaccoon: Wow really? I thought the Omega Pirate and the final boss in Metroid Prime were pretty difficult "For sure. But once you get into the Nintendo frame of mind where every enemy encounter is a series of the same attacks and maneuvers in a specific pattern it gets easier.
I'm pretty sure I beat every Legend of Zelda game from Wind Waker on up through Twilight Princess without dying, but those games are kind of easy, so I don't think those count.
And maybe when I was younger, some of my NES games and whatnot. Also, I never lost a mission in Advance Wars: Days of Ruin. I was actually really proud about that.
EDIT: Shit, got my console chronology all messed up. I meant every home-console Zelda game from Ocarina Of Time through Twilight Princess. How did I put the GameCube earlier than the N64?!
Bioshock 1, that means not using the vita chambers and on my first time playing.
Other games too, i cant remember though.
Quake, Quake 2, DOOM, DOOM 2, DOOM 3, Duke Nukem 3D, StarCraft II, WarCraft III + Frozen Throne, Borderlands, Call of Duty 4, Modern Warfare 2, Deus Ex, Baldur's Gate II, Neverwinter Nights, Counter-Strike: Condition Zero (Deleted Scenes), Half-Life, Half-Life: Opposing Force, Half-Life: Blue Shift
I'll stop, for now.
Bioshock... well at least never used the regeneration tube thingy...I think...hmm...
Dead Rising 2: Case 0
There might have been more...but I dunno. I don't keep track of that kinda thing. Would be nice if every game did keep track of that and showed you the stats after the credits. The GTA games always showed you that.
*sniffle* none *breaks out in tears of shame*. I have beaten a lot of games where I've died repeatedly though. I have painful memories of trying to beat the Donkey Kong Arcade game in Donkey Kong 64 so I could get that token so I could unlock that door in the last level to get the secret golden banana or whatever it was when I was six....I couldn't make it past the third level with those purple springs. I actually couldn't beat DK 64 until I was ten because that's how long it took for me to get good enough at Donkey Kong to get that token. This is way off-topic, but no I definitely have never beaten a game that I haven't died in.
Fallout 3 might be the only game I didn't die in while playing. I always, at all times, had more then 100 stimpacks on me. Just in case.
I don't think I have ever actually kept track of this, there has to be at least a few over the years, but thanks to achievements I am at least certain I did it Mega Man 9 and Mega Man 10 :P
I generally make at least a few stupid mistakes playing through games that cause death though.
Super Mario Brothers, The Legends of Zelda game 1 and game 2, The legends of Zelda a Link to the Past, Super Metroid, All 3D Zeldas, The Legends of Zelda Minish Cap, Mass Effect, Fable2 and Castlevania Symphony of the night.
Countless easier games.
Nearly Protoype :( Died on the last boss.
Mario for the Gameboy Advance. Old Sega games.
Gun for PS2.
There might be more but Gun is my greatest achievement.
Dragon Age and Mass Effect 2. Nearly got through Mass Effect unscathed but ran into something I thought won't explode, which did.
To date... I've finished *every* game without dying. I hope that continues for at least another 30-40 years.
Hahahah... I know... that's not very funny.
This is a tough one. There are a lot of games out there this has been true for. I think the one that was the longest slog was Diablo 2.
I've done that many times but I was usually playing with that specific goal in mind. However, the latest game I beat without dying while not necessarily conscious of trying to do so was Bioshock 2. I love love love love love that game but, ok, maybe it was too easy. When I completed it and got the trophy for never using a Vita-Chamber I was surprised.
