Well, for me, CTF is kick ass in just about any game. When there's a goal, and you're frantically chasing down the flag carrier trying to stop them, it can get really intense and fun.
My experience with attack and defend maps (such as those in TF2) is that there's a big deadlock with people fighting back and forth at the same place until there's a random immediate surge or a spy sneaks the capture. Too much of the game is spent in a standstill.
I don't know but i think i can explain 1 person is infected by something and the last person to get infected wins or the person who is not infected when time runs out wins.
it's off halo: a couple of people start a sinfected ones and they have melee weapons and are usually faster and whatnot and they have to get points by infecting others and the non infecteds get points by killing infecteds. it is INSANELY fun

really it's just you kills someone and they become on your team, but no go back. Everything else is changable. I usually make it so that you dont get any points except for being the last man standing (in customs)

I dont mean it in a negative way, but im just saying infection in halo 3 isnt how you described (not that it sucks). i didnt make it clear. sort of just typed it fast and threw it out there (there's a couple of typos )

Infection with friends is actually really fun. In UT2004, I played Assault for a long time. That's been the most fun I've had in a multiplayer FPS so far.
